Who we are
In April 2024 K9 360 was created as a dog training business. In January 2025, K9 360 began taking on clients at their sister company Spring Creek Pet Boarding which the Bellman family purchased in October 2024. For this family of former Territorians, running a boarding kennel and starting a dog training business has always been a lifelong dream. While living at Uluṟu, we made the bold decision to relocate and bring our vision to life here in Spring Creek.
Why dogs? Simply because we love them! Our family currently includes eight beloved dogs: our working-line crew consists of two Cocker Spaniels, one German Shepherd, and three dedicated detection dogs (two Labradors and one German Shorthaired Pointer). Joining them are our “couch companions”—a laid-back Jack Russell mix and a chocolate Labrador who’s retired from bird retrieving.
And then there’s Felicia. While living in Uluṟu, a community cat appeared in our yard one day and decided she was part of the pack—even with our crew of dogs! Felicia became a fixture of our lives and even made it onto the Spring Creek Pet Boarding sign alongside Franklin. When we moved to Queensland, a close friend mentioned his daughter wanted a cat, so Felicia found a loving new home where she could roam freely inside her own house and bond with her new little friend.
With years of hands-on experience training and caring for dogs of all sizes and ages—both professionally and personally—the K9 360 team is dedicated to helping dogs and their owners thrive together.

Our Legacy
Astra
01 March 2012 - 01 August 2025
Astra, a spirited black Labrador, was the dog who started it all for K9 360. She spent over nine years working alongside Tyron Bellman as his operational detection dog, before retiring happily with the Bellman family for her final years.
Getting her was like being handed the keys to a Ferrari—Tyron had to learn fast. Astra was a spectacular detection dog. She played a role in countless seizures hidden in food, oil, shampoo, fuel tanks, and more. She set a bar so high that Tyron says he’ll be chasing it for the rest of his working life with dogs.
When K9 360 began taking customers in February 2025, Astra was still front and centre. She was featured in many training videos, helping dogs with reactivity and aggression overcome their fears. She also became the steady role model for every K9 360 puppy, teaching them how to behave around adult dogs. Kiana gained invaluable knowledge by training detection dogs and customer dogs with Astra’s guidance.
Astra is forever part of K9 360—her image lives on in our logos, and our motto “Excellence both ends of the lead” was inspired by her. She gave no room for handlers to fall behind. With Astra, you had to step up—or be left in her dust.
At home, Astra was just as unforgettable. Always curious, always on the go, she lived true to her Labrador nature. Until her last week, she was sneaking strawberries out of Kiana’s garden and running off to scoff them down with pure joy. Her determination and larger-than-life personality earned her many nicknames, including The Little Tripper and Sparkle Butt.
Astra’s legacy lives on in every dog trained at K9 360. She was more than just the first detection dog—she was the foundation of everything we are today.
